Most store bought almond milk is full of sugar and some even have nasty fillers.

The best part about making your own you can choose whether you have it sweetened with your choice of sweetner or unsweetened.

Whats more you can use any type of nut to create this milk too - so if you are out of almonds why not try cashew or hazelnuts.

You can even add some raw cacao into it to make a healthy version of chocolate milk!

  • 1 Litre filtered or purified water

  • 1 cup of Almonds (soaked over night)

  • 2 fresh dates for sweetness

  • pinch of sea salt

  • vanilla bean or essence (optional)

How to

  1. Drain and rinse almonds (soaked night before)

  2. Blend all ingredients until smooth

  3. Using a nut bag or cheese cloth strain the milk and remove pulp. This can be dried and used as flour alternative in other recipes.

If you have the time, it’s best to soak the almonds in the water overnight before blending. This will help make the milk easier to digest and blend.

Almond Milk should remain fresh for 3-4 days.
