A chocolate mousse that’s guilt free and loaded with super foods and antioxidants.
The botanical name for the cacao tree is 'theobroma cacao' – which means “food of the gods” in Greek.
Cacao is high in magnesium and iron and also contains compounds that act as stimulants said to boost serotonin and endorphin levels in the brain that gives you a pleasurable sensation.
Avocado adds a lovely creaminess and is full of mono-unsaturated fats.
Definitely one of my favourite easy go to desserts!
2 ripe Avocado
1/4 tin of Organic Coconut Cream
3 tablespoons Raw Cacao
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
3-6 fresh Dates (Depending on sweet tooth) you could use maple syrup here also
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
pinch of Rock Salt
Combine all the ingredients in high speed blender except for coconut cream.
Blend for about 30 seconds until smooth and creamy.
Add coconut cream and/or water for desired consistency
You could serve with fresh or frozen fruits or sometimes I add nuts or cacao nibs.
