Bananas are an awesome energy food and a great source of potassium, an essential mineral for maintaining normal blood pressure and heart function.
They also add moisture and sweetness when making treats, which means you can reduce the amount of sugars and other sweeteners added.
1 tabs Almond Meal
3 Fresh Dates
1 tbsp Nut butter of choice (i use almond butter)
dash of vanilla essence
1 ripe banana
Coconut for rolling
Place the walnuts in vitamix or blender - blend til crumbly
Add in the almond meal, dates, butter, vanilla and banana - blend til it becomes slightly sticky
If its too wet add more almond meal
If its too dry add water.
Roll into small balls and roll in the desiccated coconut
Place balls on a lined tray and place in fridge for up to 1 hour.
***Will last up to a week in fridge if not enjoyed before hand!
