Chia is also gluten free, a great source of firbre, aiding in digestion and helps to heal digestive issues. Chia seeds are load with Omega 3 and some studies say it has 8 times more than fatty salmon. Its also full of Protein, Vitamin C, Iron, Calcium and Potassium.
Chias gel like properties make it great for replacing eggs in recipes.
2 Litre filtered or purified water
1/2 cup of fresh coconut chunks or 1 cup of desciated coconut
2 fresh dates
pinch of sea salt
vanilla bean or essence (optional)
Add coconut and water to high powered blender, blending for 2 mins.
Add remaining ingredients and blend for another 30sec
Using a nut bag or cheese cloth strain the milk and remove pulp.
This can be dried and used as flour for other recipes.
Coconut Milk should remain fresh for 2-3days.
