Listen to your body

Making a commitment to a healthy lifestyle is not always easy.  Many of us have good intentions and want to do more home cooking and eat less convenience foods.

Intentions are great, if you act on them.

Health is holistic; there’s no way to get around it. It doesn’t matter how much you exercise or how fit you think you are, if you don’t eat right then all your hard work is wasted.  It doesn’t matter if you eat perfect, like a nutritionist, if you don’t move your body then it won’t perform at its best.

And it doesn’t matter if you’re a green juice-drinking, yogi loving, gym junkie runner if you’re under a lot of stress and pressure, your health will suffer.

That’s why I teach my clients a holistic lifestyle for the mind, body and soul. I believe in fuelling and nourishing my body with real, quality whole foods. That means clean, unprocessed foods that are as close to their natural state as possible. No additives, no preservatives, and no artificial ingredients. Why would you want to overload your beautiful body with chemicals and toxins? What if someone asked you to lay out all your fruit and vegetables on the kitchen bench and then got some fly spray or rat posion and said “I’m just going to spray these a few times” Would you then pick up that juicey looking apple now cover in spray at eat it? No I didnt think so…

It just doesn’t make sense to me.  We live in a country where good quality food is avaible to you every where you look, but yet we just choose to live a different way.  People complain about being sick, injured, sore joints, aches and pains… headaches, running nose…

These are all ways your body is trying to show you its not feeling well and to make changes, these are just little taps on the shoulder for you to be aware, hey Im not doing so good here with this lifestyle choice of yours…. so many choose to ignore it! Then BOOM! They wonder why all of a sudden they are in hospital, or they are sick for days and days, or they get a disease…  The body has a wonderful way of healing its self naturally through so many problems if we just allow it. NOURISH IT – My tip for you over the next week – listen to your body! What is it saying? Do you always get a headache after you eat a certain way? Do you always feel sick in the tummy? Do you feel tired, grumpy, unhappy, highs, lows…. I challenge you today to hear what your body is saying to you.
