This is definitely one of my favourites... Ive been doing this for years now!
These are known as nourishment bowls... as they are full of all the nutrients we need to thrive and nourish ourselves.. simple hey! They are super easy to create and there are no wrong ways in doing so... There are few rules you can follow but let lose and get creative.
All you need is a wide range of nutrient dense veggies, fruits, carbohydrates, healthy fats and good quality protein.
Bowl Ideas and Ingredients (not limited to these):
Greens: Cos Lettuce, Baby Spinach, Curly Kale, Sprouts
Carbohydrates: sweet potato, Pumpkin, Black Rice, Beans, Chickpeas, Quinoa, Millet, Buckwheat
Healthy Fats: Avocado, Nuts & Seeds, Olives, Hemp Seeds, Olive Oil
Proteins: High Quality Organic Meat, Smoked Salmon, Eggs, Tempeh, Tofu, Lentils or Beans
Veggies: Carrots, Corn, Tomatoes, Green Beans, Snow Peas, Broccoli, Beetroot.... the list is endless
Add ons: Fermented Veggies, Sauerkraut, Sea Veggies, Kelp,
Dressings/Dips: Apple Cider Vinegar, Hummus, Beetroot Dip, Gucamole, Tamari, Lemon Juice
Greens + Yellow Squash + Zucchini Strips + Carrots + Beets + Cherry Tomatoes served with Tempeh & Lemon
