The Year Gone 2013

2013 has proved to be a very uphill and interesting ride for me…

This world can be a funny place.

As the end of the year draws near. The endless Ideas, goals and plans for next year excite me!

All the challenges and battles I’ve faced this year I am so grateful for, bringing certain things to my life and teaching me wonderful lessons!

I could go on for hours about the things I’ve learnt, so as much as this in my eyes and many others has been the worst yet, it has also been the best!

Looking back on what was ….

Moving from Sydney to the Gold Coast and going through depression (read my story here) lesson 1. People coming and going in my life, discovering those who were here to stay, not to mention moving 6 times.

Discovering that I had destroyed my body and mind from last years comp prep, that’s been the yearly battle.

But after never giving up and being lucky to find some amazing support I can now say I’m not repaired but who ever is, we are all on a continuous journey through life. But I’m definitely on track to being healthier than I’ve ever before. Inside and out! Mind and body!

Enjoying the wonderful pleasures of superfoods, and lots of colorful veggies and fruits…

Not depriving myself of any nutrients…. My hormones are now better than they have been in almost 4 years!

My body physically will take a little longer to repair the injuries I accrued from the bad training I was put through. But the weight continues to drop off the more I love and nurture myself as a whole.

The biggest part of this journey of repair and self discovery is learning to accept what has happened. Acceptance is something we all need to learn.

Negativity is poison!

Criticism, fear and resentment will kill you.

Fix your mind and the rest follows. Change your thoughts and change your life! How many times have we heard this over and over? Well guess what, it’s the truth. The more we choose to take control of the way we think the more it allows positive experiences to occur.

What’s happening on the inside of us always shows itself on the outside! You are a direct reflection of what’s happening internally.

Some simple things I make sure are a part of my life no matter where I am or what I am up to.

Affirmations are amazing – using these daily allows for a positive future.

An affirmation opens the door. It’s a beginning point on the path to change. Every thought you think and every word you speak is an affirmation.

Meditation is a way of calming the mind, making us more peaceful, balanced and focused in our daily lives. Ultimately, it enables us to awaken our spiritual potential and find lasting joy and contentment.

And for those who enjoy Yoga – There are so many types available to us these days.

Get that body moving, flowing and create internal harmony.

Being thankful and grateful are the most powerful feelings. They say LOVE is the most powerful human emotion one can feel. Do everything with love and watch what happens around you.

Feelings are what create your experience, life is just your perception.
