If you have ever been lucky enough to attend an event that this woman has hosted, you will know exaclty what Im talking about when I say you just feel automatically inspired with a sudden boost of positive self belief that you are able to take on the world and do bigger and greater things just by being in her presence!
I recently attended an event she held at the beautiful Elixr Health Club in Bondi Junction, Sydney. At such an affordable price, I learnt so much and got to take home some very yummy goodies in my gift pack.
Hi Alison, and thank you for taking the time to have a quick chat with me, Firstly, please describe yourself in 1 sentence.
I’m an energetic, passionate and driven lover of all things health, who enjoys living life to the fullest.
That absolutely sums up the person you are, So who or what inspired you to create a change in your life, to help others and to become the lovely human you are today?
Having children changed my life. I had been working in the Corporate Sector for over 15 years and couldn’t imagine how working those long hours would be achievable with small children.
My husband works very long hours in Advertising. He helped to inspire and encourage me to embark on my own business and create a flexible working lifestyle.
I launched Relauncher just over 6 years ago when the boys started school – best decision ever!
What was your wake up call or wow moment that you realised you had to change or create a change in the world?
I ran a Health & Wellness Networking event in Perth a couple of years ago.
It had such a profound effect on those that attended, so I ran a similar event in Sydney.
I had many people contacting me afterwards saying that it had been fabulous connecting with like-minded people and they had also been inspired by the speakers. It was at this point I realised I needed to build the events into my offering, connecting and empowering as many Health & Wellbeing businesses as possible.
I have since run events in Sydney, Perth, Melbourne and Brisbane.
Yes! I think thats probably one of the greatest things about your events, you are surrounded by people who have the same passion and desire, its a great place to network.
What advice would you give to those who are going through hardship or challenging times, what has helped you through your darkest days?
Try to live an active and healthy life, surrounding yourself with positive people.
Those you surround yourself with has an incredible effect on your actions and mindset!
Self Love is so important yet so overlooked by many; List 3 things you love about yourself?
Working efficiently so I can maintain a balanced lifestyle
Knowing I’m important enough to look after and nurture my health
Beautiful, Your favourite motivation quote, mantra or affirmation?
“Do things that feed your soul, not your ego and you will be happy”
Do you believe that you should nourish your mind as equally as the body? If so why? And how do you do this? (Mind/Spiritually/Body)
Absolutely. Through meditation, yoga, alone time – whatever works for you, it’s incredibly important to connect within.
It helps re-evaluate, clear the mind and refocus.
These are very powerful and important steps to having a positive outlook on life.
I think the sooner more people discover meditation the better the world will be,
What motivates you to get up and do what you do every day?
Seeing results and excitement from my Business Coaching clients. I have clients who are just starting out, others who have been in business for nearly 5 years and everything in between.
Some come to me because they are incredibly busy. They want me to look at their business to create space & time for themselves to work on a higher level; – formulating strategies to grow their business.
Others are newbies or in the early phase and would like help with creating a solid foundation and generate brand awareness.
When clients see the results from coaching, it is incredibly rewarding!
And lastly because everyone loves a good recipe, what is your favourite, one that always makes you feel good?
Choc Nut Slice
This tasty treat is so yummy it’s hard to stop at just one piece! Don’t hold back, go for it! Oh, and did I mention there is no added sugar - ideal for those quitting sugar and wanting to watch their waistlines.
Base Ingredients & Method:
1c activated* walnuts (or nuts of your choice)
1/4c desiccated coconut
Place all ingredients in the blender & mix until finely chopped. Once the mixture resembles crumbs, press into a lined slice dish or cake tin. Place into the fridge while you prepare the topping.
Tip: if the dates seem hard, soak them in boiling water for 5 minutes. Discard the water and proceed with the recipe. You'll also find this adds extra moisture to the base.
* To activate the nuts, soak them overnight in water, or for up to 24hrs. Rinse off, then they are read to use in the recipe.
Topping Ingredients & Method:
2 1/2TBS peanut butter (I buy this from the health food aisle in the supermarket as it has less sugar)
3TBS coconut milk
1TBS vanilla paste
4TBS cacao powder
1/4c coconut oil (melted)
4TBS boiled water
Place all ingredients in the blender and mix until it's a chocolatey consistency. If it's too dry, add a TBS or so extra of hot water.
Place on top of the base, then scatter coconut on top - and whatever else you choose.
Put back in the fridge for 1-2hrs before serving.
Thank you so much for having a quick chat with me today and sharing a little more inside knowledge on yourself and your company Relauncher.
