It was without a doubt that Chris and I would become amazing best friends for a long time when we met each other at fitness college!
From day one we both had the same burning desire to help change peoples lives.
And when I look at how far we both have come since those younger days, whod have thought!
Passion, drive and ambition can take you anywhere you want it to if you want it bad enough and work hard enough.
Chris has just recently opened his own studio in Redfern, Sydney and he kindly took some time out for me to have a chat all things fitness!

Hi Chris, Thanks so much for taking some time out of your busy schedule to chat with me and share what drives you and to hopefully inspire some others to chase their dreams too.... Firstly, describe yourself in one sentence:
I am a free spirit that loves life! I am always looking for an adventure and I dont like to sit still for too long! I am a fitness freak and travel addict!
Haha definitely not 1 sentence, and its funny the more creative people I talk to the harder that question is for them.
Chris, what I love about you is that you are always on some great adventure – whats currently keeping you busy?
I'm currently working on a fitness video channel. It's going to be a platform for myself and other trainers to upload videos of workouts and supplements, I'm super excited !
I have also just opened up a brand new studio on Regent Street in Redfern, Sydney.
So damn exciting, congratualtions on such a mile stone!
Over the years I have learnt that you are successful with everything you put your mind too – you have a huge passion for the health and fitness industry, what is your motivation to get up and do what you do every day?
I love that I am changing people's lives in my everyday work. It's a blessing to get up in the morning knowing I am making a difference in someone's life.
I love a good coffee as well so that's my first order of business in the morning !
What kinds of things inspire you? And who do you admire or find inspiration in?
I am inspired by success, entrepreneurship, innovation & those who strive to better their lives and others around them. I am inspired by athletes, various public figures including; Richard Branson & Dwayne Johnson (the rock).
I also love Richard Branson, and love how he has so many amazing avenues, haha a little bit like yourself, always up to something... So what or who was it that inspired you to start this journey you are on, to help others and to become the amazing guy you are today?
When I was 17 i decided to build a gym in my garage because I was always very skinny. I thought I would try my luck in putting on some size. I absolutely loved it and started seeing results. I would YouTube videos on different workouts and try them out. Eventually I got a full time pt for myself and I really got into it.
I put on 15 kgs of muscle and have never looked back.
I wanted to help other people in the same way, so I decided to become a full time pt.
I have made a very successful career out of it and I'm absolutely loving it.
What do you think was your wake up call for change or 'aha' moment that you realised you wanted to create a change in the world around you?
When I was looking back at photos of myself and saw how far I had come. I thought to myself, if I can do it other people can and I want to help them!
Self Love, the key to success and belief, what would you say are the 3 things you love most about yourself
My determination, my entrepreneurship & my ability to stay strong in a bad situation.
What would you say has been your biggest achievement, personal hurdle or a health challenge that you have had?
I dislocated my shoulder about 6 months ago. This has been a nightmare but I'm finally getting my strength back and back into the gym.
How did you overcome it?
How has it changed you, helped you to grow?
A lot of yoga, rest and physiotherapy. It has made me respect and listen to your body more.
I adore yoga and the effect it has on the body and the mind, Its very much something people dont do enough of.
What advice would you give to someone who is going through their own personal challenges, hardships or lacking self belief?
What do you think has helped you when you have doubted your ability?
Life isn't easy, it's your ability to pick yourself up when times are tough that determines the person you are. Life's short, do what you love !
Do you think that the mind plays a huge part in what you do, not just the body?
If so how do you tackle both?
Absolutely. I believe in a healthy body and healthy mind. You have to be mentally strong as well as physically.
Do you have a favourite inspirational quote, mantra or affirmation?
"I am strong beyond belief, I am powerful beyond measure".
What are your go to nutrition tips for performance in the gym?
A simple clean and balanced diet. With just the right amounts of proteins, fats, sugars, carbs
And of course we all want to know how you look as good as you do, whats your favourite exercise and why?
Chest exercises because it's the one part of my body that grows quite quickly!
Thanks for always being such an inspiring friend of mine, thank you for being part of my You Inspire Me series and sharing your secrets to success.
